Hey there! I’m a writer, organizer, and communications specialist in Toronto.
I have nearly fifteen years of experience directing communications for progressive causes, organizations, and political campaigns.
I’ve worked with dozens of nonprofit organizations to hone their messaging and build public support for more equitable social policy. I specialize in issues of gender justice, community health, and income inequality, and have an extensive background supporting communications and media relations for advocacy groups and community-based festivals.
I’m a graduate of the University of Toronto, the Maytree Policy School, and the Institute for Change Leaders, and am a former member of the United Way Speakers Bureau. These days, I also manage communications for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival.
See below for a selection of my work. You can also find me at my day job at Evenings + Weekends Consulting.

Areas of focus
-
Content Strategy
Need a digital presence that inspires people to take action? I’ve created content plans that raise funds and attract supporters for FoodShare, the Canadian Urban Institute, the Equal Pay Coalition, and dozens of others.
-
Writing and Journalism
I’ve told stories in places like VICE, The Toronto Star, The Philanthropist, The Medical Post, Refinery29, Maisonneuve, Reader’s Digest, Toronto Life, The Grid, Torontoist, and Format.
-
Web, Graphic, and Digital Media Design
I’ve designed on-brand websites, reports, videos, and graphics to amplify the work of organizations like The Stop Community Food Centre and the Responsible Investment Association.
Project spotlights
A few great people I’ve worked with
The Downtown Eastside Food Network, The Circle Community Land Trust, Park People, The Workers’ Action Centre, The Canadian Urban Institute, The Equal Pay Coalition, The University of Toronto's School of Cities, The Justice Education Society, The College of Midwives of Ontario, The Stop Community Food Centre, Google, The Responsible Investment Association, The Metcalf Foundation, Jane’s Walk, Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Health Centre, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, FoodShare Toronto, The Provocation Ideas Festival, The Toronto Comic Arts Festival, the Decent Work and Health Network, Creative Rupture, the 2022 Chiara Padovani campaign, and many more.
Other fun things I’ve done
I was profiled in the Toronto Star for my Jane’s Walk titled “Who Gets to Pee In This City?”, an exploration of public bathroom access in Toronto.
I really love designing and facilitating workshops, especially for young people. I’ve led sessions for the Toronto Foundation, Fora: Network for Change, and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.
I make strange zines about urban design, municipal activism, contemplative spirituality, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. I’ve shown them at Zine Dream, the Hamilton Feminist Zine Fair, and Zine Dump.
I’m passionate about pay equity and gender justice in the labour market. In 2022, I lead communications and supported production on the first-ever Ontario leaders’ debate on women’s economic inequality.
